Move Therapy is a small business right here in Singapore. We offer Rehabilitation which include exercise therapy for musculoskeletal pain, as well as Pilates and strength training.
Combining manual therapy with exercises have made a difference in our clients’ lives. You don’t have to be in acute pain to reap the benefit of manual therapy. Manual therapy can nip the problem early, and when combined with stretching and strength exercises, will allow you to stay active for years to come. We hope to bring exercise therapy to more people.
Move Therapy is started by May in 2016. May is a certified Clinical Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT.) She is qualified to provide an orthopedic assessment, muscle palpation and joint manipulation for musculoskeletal pain.
May is also a certified Pilates Teacher, NCPT. She received her Pilates training from Polestar® Pilates. If you are expecting a child, and want to start or continue with Pilates during your pregnancy, May is trained in Pre- and Postnatal Pilates by the Centre for Women’s Fitness, based in Chicago, the US.
She is a Certified Personal Trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), and an accredited Allied Healthcare & Fitness Professional with Exercise is Medicine®. EIM is a global initiative of ACSM. The local chapter is managed by the Changi Sports Medicine Centre.
Any stiffness always get relievedI always leave every Pilates session feeling mobile and supple. Any stiffness and other related conditions, that came with a desk-bound job, always get relieved. It is because May’s approach to exercise is holistic. Clients are more aware of their everyday movement when they get to practice the movement in the sessions; the emphasis on connecting the breath and mind is also important.
